Profile
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in June 1988. National Board of Accreditation has awarded B5 status to our department. Our first priority is to update and adapt ourself to the latest technological development in the field of Information Technology, so that our students are trained according to the current technology.

A separate system maintenance department is being established to take care of all hardware and software and network problems of the department and university
The non-teaching staff of the department have sufficient hardware and software skills before joining this department. They are continuously trained for new technologies.

Computing Facilities
Computing facilities in our department is periodically updated. Most of the systems are of latest configurations and purchased from reputed companies like Sun Microsystems, Wipro, Compaq, Dell and HCL. We have around 400 systems connected in network with high end servers. Our department follow the principle of one man one machine.
Internet Facilities
Intnet facilities are provided to the students from morning 7AM to 10PM. We have established a new internet facility of 2 MBPS with 1:1 compression ratio through R F link. These facilities are given to various departments through fiber optic backbone connectivity.

Achievements
Our department has obtained B5 rating from the National Board of Accreditation. Every year more than 50 % of our students are placed in reputed concerns through campus interview. Another 30% of our students regularly go for higher studies in India or abroad.

Micosoft has identified our campus as one among the center of Excellence for .NET.
