Content Window The Placement Cell of this college had already dispatched the college brochures etc. to all the important companies and corporate for exposing possibilities of maximum optimum placement oppourtunities. We had also made personal visits and arranged in plant training. This has favoured us for our students to get placement oppourtunities in MNCs such as 1. Prudential Insurance Co( Marketing) About 95% of students are employed in last year MBA passed candidates. It is alos estimated that 80% would have been placed in other Departments who are now on the job of monitoring for updating then database. During November 2003: 1. Satyam Infosys Ltd, Tidel Park, Taramani It is expected that Placement Cell will periodically visit other important companies visiting them to conduct timely Campus Interview in our college. PLACEMENT CELL STAFF PATTERN DEAN PLACEMENT OFFICER STAFF AND STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE FROM EACH DEPARTMENT JUNIOR ASSISTANT OR CLERK Placement Officer, Thiru R.Loka Sundaram, J.D.Industries & Commerce Department (Rtd) is backed with 38 years of experience ishaving association with most the industries in Tamil Nadu is in charge of Placement Cell. Staff representative and student representative from each departments
assist the placement officer by providing all necessary help like
collecting resumes from eligible students, informing about various
opportunities in getting jobs, which they come across, providing list
of ompanies, which had gone for campus interviews at various colleges
etc., 1. KAASHYAP RADIANT SYSTEMS LTD., CHENNAI-4 ANALYSIS The percentage of students who secure appointment through placement cell is about 35-45%, about 20% of the students go for higher studies, 25% seek placement of their own, 10-15% go into their family businesses and 5-10% get placement delayed due to various factors. The department takes utmost care to secure placement to all students. Various training programs are recommended for students to hone their skills and to do better in their interviews. The students are also exposed to ‘mock interviews’. Tests are conducted on objective types to speed up their answering capacity courses in Business aspect. Communications skills, personality developments programs are also conducted for the benefit of self-employment. Period meeting of Principal, Dean and Heads of various departments regarding improving the placement effectiveness are conducted. FUTURE PLANS/MODERNISATION We have an exclusive web site for the college and e-mail
ids for each department. We also plan to go in for an exclusive site
for placement where all placement details with resumes of students
are posted and updated for the employer to directly recruit the student
on WEB.
